Beer#2: Quench your thirst, all weekend long
Updated: Aug 14, 2018
On to our second beer in our Beer, Cider, & Cheese festival countdown.
Here's one you can enjoy all day long.
Beer #2: Brass Castle, QUENCH, New England Style Session Pale, 3.2%
Tasting Notes: Hazy and hoppy New England style session pale - brewed to a drinkable 3.2%. The low percentage doesn't mean less flavour with this one. Crisp fruitiness and mild citrus flavour.
What is New England style you ask? New England style ales are essentially unfiltered IPAs that have been aggressively hopped and are purposely hazy or cloudy, but with a low bitterness, which can give a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Also known as a Hazy IPA. It was only officially recognised as it's own style of beer in 2018!
Brewery: One of our favourite breweries here at The George & Dragon; Brass Castle Brewery is based in the centre of Malton, North Yorkshire. All Brass Castle beers are vegan and vegetarian friendly and are brewed to gluten-free recipes. They have a taproom as well, so if you're in the area make sure you give them a visit, they are super friendly guys! They are also just down the road from our favourite coffee roasters, Roost! Give them a visit too!
