Beer, Cider & Cheese Festival

This year we have
+27 real ales from Yorkshire's best breweries
+12 real ciders
- Yorkshire cheeses
- BBQ all weekend
- Live music each day
August Bank Holiday Weekend
quoits practice - open to all
Every Tuesday, weather permitting, we uncover the pitches and dust off the quoits. It's all very informal and open to everyone. Come join in and give it a try.
And in case you're wondering, Quoits is a game played with metal discs, traditionally made of steel, and thrown across a set distance at a metal spike called a pin. The pin is centrally, and vertically, positioned in a square of moist clay measuring three feet across. Easy!
Every Sunday from 4 pm, weather permitting
Carols & Barrels
Join us for some Christmas merriment! Our annual Carols & Barrels promises to deliver enough Christmas joy for everyone!
We circle round the piano and sing our little hears out.
Roaring fire, classic carols, great beer; what better way to prep for the big day just round the corner.
To be confirmed for current year
Lights out for solstice
Every year we turn the lights out for the winter solstice, the longest, darkest night of the year. Enjoy the pub how it would have been enjoyed for most of its lifetime. Good friends, good chat, all candlelit by a warm roaring fire.
21st December - From 5 p.m.
